Have you tried one of the Facebook groups for engineers?

We don’t have any codes other than the ones we put in a system.

Why do the installers 'lock' the system, it's the customers not theirs.
Anyway enough about two bit electricians doing stuff that only security guys should do!....and usually getting it totally wrong.
As Sparkymarka, there are documented ways to get around NVM locks, these involve shorting out pins on chips on the motherboard etc.
I've worked with Texecom stuff for around 25 years, I've also never tried the dark art of dabbling with little Screwdrivers in places where they shouldn't be!.
The only guaranteed method to resolve is replace the control panel, confirm all zones and their integrity, and program from scratch, you know all is as it should be then.
It's what we specialists do.

We have locked some panels but the boy with the customers consent. Especially with rented properties. You are supposed to have customers consent has always been my understanding.

I wanted to do some alterations at my daughters house which involved moving a couple of PIR’s, her system was over 10 years old, I contacted the alarm company who said for security reasons (all the alarms on the estate had the same engineers code) they couldn’t tell me what it was.

But they would send an engineer out and put it into engineer mode for £70 + VAT, seeing it was over 10 years old I decided to replace the panel along with a new sounder and PIR’s.

So depending on how old your current system is, it may be worth considering replacing / upgrading your panel.
