    Solar Generation issue

I have an account to 'view' the sales pitch was 24x7 active monitoring, but as they no longer exist,... screwed on that. Just been trying to check on Ticket to get message "contact the monitoring company for my system" There isn't one.

    Solar Generation issue

I have logged ticket with them, and they confirm the inverter is dead (so they can connect to it) .... but no monitoring it seems. They advise they are going to send me a new Inverter under RMA, so that side of things sounds positive.

    Solar Generation issue

Wasn’t sure which sub-forum, hope this suits. I have a Solar panel array on my roof, connected to a Solar Edge inverter, this can be accessed via a phone app to view generation stats etc When this was sold, one pushed benefit was that there was active monitoring, and if a fault should happen...

    Tripod & Bipod

I was thinking of 3D printer, I could get CAD drawing created. Is there a ‘rubber like’ material they can print.

    Tripod & Bipod

The issue is it’s not a flat slab of rubber, it is moulded and has slots cut through it etc. I did think of buying rubber sheet for this, wondering if there are other options. Thanks for suggestion though.

    Tripod & Bipod

I have a tripod & monopod, both bought as Jessops own brand. They have both developed same issue. Both have a fixing plate that the camera ‘fixes to’ the fixing screw passing through the base. Both bases have a rubber compound that provides a non slip pad to tighten camera down onto. On both...

    Source for seals

I used Hepworth squareline brown products for the guttering and downpipes. The various fittings use rubber (foamed rubber) seal at each joints. Have replaced a few over time - but Hepworth have now discontinued the product and no longer stocks the seals, their new range (no longer Hepworth) uses...

Product not performing as required - Bricklights

With the Sienna there is zero room. The rear block wall is dense concrete, and I wouldn’t want to weaken it. Looking at another option now … the SHINE light .. would not have corrosion issue. Ordered one to try out.

Product not performing as required - Bricklights

Just looked at SHINE light at Simply LED .... this maybe an option ..... I'll buy one to try out, looks as in room to wire ... though fixing not as easy as Sienna (push fit) this would need to fit some form of packers so unit could be screwed to them

Product not performing as required - Bricklights

No .... there is only one gland and pre-fitted cable, (gland is a fixed non-adjustable item) I asked if they could supply with 2nd gland to allow pass -thru .... no such option. Assuming from your picture, maybe that was the intent .... but not what they have produced.

    I don't disagree

Product not performing as required - Bricklights

This is not correct - as per post #13 I bought one last week. There is no connecting 'fast fix terminal block' and no glands for use. There is a prewired length of cable, and zero room behind fiting to add any joint box. A pity as light is nice looking ..... but it is made with a...

Product not performing as required - Bricklights

I have a dual skin wall ..... solid block to rear with no access, and brick to front. Bricks left out in readiness for lights, and cables installed. Cables daisy-chained (pass thru) from centre light to left and right. Arrangement repeated on 3 walls. (as per sketch) The issue I have is...

I was after some CLS last week …. Must have gone through 20 lengths to find one without large knots.

    Line post

I want to erect post, the top of which will be an anchor point for a line (similar to washing line) I can bolt post to a brick wall, with 1.2m of post extending above top of wall. Loading (line pull) would be at 90 degree to wall. I could use a 50x 50 treated timber, my concern is whether it...

Product not performing as required - Bricklights

I bought 12 Brick Lights from TLC IP44 lights (as in first pic) Due to other projects had only fitted 3 ... and while they are dry and serviceable 'inside' the outer grill (only part on show) is VERY badly corroded. I live aprox 1km from the coast, so there is salt air, but I expected much...
