    Stock typically has a 12- 18 month shelf life from date of manufacture on the tube, after that is can become lumpy and eventually a solid lump in the tube.Recently opened a new tube which was near the end of expiry date and was already getting lumpy .

    Unless you really need the storage, I would just put in a standard size dishwasher.

    Do you use it like a waste disposal and flush food down it? Do you do a lot of greasy cooking .? Both clog sinks quickly , hot soapy water helps keep pipes clear . After making tea I always empty the kettle down the sink , not only helps keep sink clear reduces scale in kettle to practically none .

    I just hot glue a small piece on mdf with a right angle bracket on it to underside so bracket locks down behind rad . Just lift cover over rad. Only requires one in centre .
