Thanks As it is right now the soil pipe is sloping down toward the wall. If I cut it roughly in the middle the pan will be about 5 mm higher than soil pipe. Better measure it again though to be certain.

Thanks The company I buy vinyl from recommended plywood around 5-6 mm. The current threshold is actually just an extension of the exsisting bathroom floor so same height. I did think of a transition strip but a bit worried someone would fall. The stairs are in an awkward place

We already charge our toothbrushes in the bedroom but thought it could be more convenient to charge them in bathroom hence some kind of socket needed. Didn't know about mirrors with sockets. Sounds like that could be a good option

Concrete screws into our walls would struggle without plugs. They're old Victorian so need a bit of help. I've seen people using frame fixings for battens but don't know how effective they are when supporting a bath. Perhaps best to stick to some decent concrete screws
