Hi, I have a mixer kitchen tap. Have had it for quite some time. It constantly gets stuck when you have to move it about. Was told to add WD40. Is the ‘3 in one oil spray’ recommended or should I purchase Wd40?

If it tighten water starts running and then its a hassle to turn off. So far its been alright. Most likely will need replacing

Will the valve need replacing? Its hard to find a valve with that plastic part on it

I did glue the plastic part onto the valve. Waited until today and put the handle on and it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t.

To add to the above reply. In better words. I have a feeling the white tube is not getting the firmness on the brass valve

I had a mare. A few hours ago I turned the tap on and it wouldn’t turn off. The handle becoming loose didn’t help. Managed to use the tool and unscrew it. Took the handle off and had to use a spanner to twist it to turn it off. Installed it back on and again the water stays on and the handle...

Should I loosen by putting an allen key into that port I just attached below? Then take the handle off?

Yes I do have the right size allen key. Should I loosen it slightly and then tighten? Will this most likely secure the handle and not wobble?
