Thanks yes the captive ones with the oring do look cheap. The other type are machined so good they don't need the oring to seal?

Is it ok to stick plastic shower panelling in to plywood. I think it's water and boiler proof. I planned on priming the plywood with SBR bond

I've been given 600mm wide shower panels to install in a 800mm shower enclosure. This is a bad idea as there will be a joint on each wall to make up to 800mm it's the wooden panels. I have before used the plastic stuff that comes in 2.4m x 1m lengths

I'm having a problem with flickering lights on my dimmer switch tried new bulbs that are definitely dimmable and the problem is still the same. Any ideas could there be a fault with the switch itself and it's transformer?
