Hi the reason it is working is I attached the lamp light neutral to the earths and the lamp light positive to the hot switch , so I am getting a electrician on the free to check this out . For peace of mind detached lamp light .thanks for supporting me gus

hi light is working . The RCD DID NOT TRIP , have disconnected lamp till next week waiting till the electrician checks . the ring main socket has been ok for over 6 yrs no problems and the RCd has not tripped with all my combinations should it have . thanks in advanced gus

thanks for the quick reply. checked the lamp with flex/plug all 3 bulbs worked did this 10 plus times so did my pal . checked both sides of the wiring all the way to the bulb holder 10 plus times all showing hot , even returned the light to WICKS returned with a new light zero we are both 70...

hi guys, first post ,I have read 2 posts on outside lights, I replaced a pir outside light with a non pir light. The light worked for 3 days , checked 2 bulbs /exchanged the light fitting for another one just in case . zero . used a screwdriver with fuse light ,checked 2positive reds/ 1black...
