Hi, I currently have a extractor fan that goes off when the light is turned off, if I upgraded to a unit that stayed on after the light is switched off could I get a permanent live from a nearby shaver socket please? All wiring would be outside the room. Thanks.

Sorted the leak thanks, it was a faulty valve. The header tank seems to be filling up now, I have the boiler on but the rads are not hot yet, the pipes near the tank are hot, does it take a while to fill the whole system back up?

Fitted the new isolation valve but that leaks from the bit where the smaller pipe joins the larger one. Have I missed something?

Not sure how to check if they have filled back up sorry, I bled whilst emptying and draining

Turned the mains water back on which is giving some hot water now but no CH yet, stopped the flow to the header tank as a temp measure. No tank in the loft

Hi, just turned off the mains water and drained down the damaged pipe with a hose as it wasn’t planned.

I thought the header tank was to refill the rads if needed?

It was coming over the lip of the top tank like the ball cock wasn't working the ball cocktails moves fine by hand but the water sprays upwards so I think it was hitting the lid and coming over the side. I notice now also the isolation screw leaks badly but wasn't before (see 2nd picture) It...

Done that thanks. Turned the mains water on and it Dont leak from there anymore, result. But the green tank upstairs has water coming out the top of I now....help

Ahh sounds like a plan. Once removed do I just fit the new white fitting? Do I need another metal ring or will the new fitting have everything needed?
