I’m waiting to hear back from the roofer so I’ll see what he says then go from there about asking someone else if need be. It could have been like that for years and I’ve not noticed it but now I have I’m worried it’s going to collapse with this kids bedroom being on that end of the house

Thank you. I’ve asked our roofer to come and have a look to see what he thinks. We have a builder who does a few things for us, I showed him these photos and he said it’s leaning 4-5 inches and needs looking at. It’s hard to know if I should be worried or not

Thank you. I am a massive worrier so if even the slightest thing is mentioned I need to know it’s ok. We did have the flashing put on and the cement around the chimney pots redone last year and nothing was mentioned about it then. There’s 2 sets of 2 houses and they all look like they lean the same

Hi sorry to bother you. Recently our new neighbours mentioned that their chimney leans in a little. This got me looking at ours and im wondering if it needs looking at? Is it normal for them to lean a little? It’s a 1960s build with the fireplace inside bricked up but not removed.

Thanks for the reply. I thought chipboard then read that anything with asbestos was often labelled and it looks like there was some kind of stickers on there in the past that have fallen off and it made me wonder if it was asbestos or could be covering it

Good evening, I have some cast iron downpipe thats leaking, I’m having it replaced but it goes just underground into what looks like cement pipe what’s cracked and breaking away. Has anyone come across this pipe being asbestos before please?

Thanks for replying, this was under some slabs with a bush next to it, I think the roots from the bush grew and cracked the slabs and cement so I’ve removed them (and the bush!) but was worried the pipe/bend the downpipe is cemented into could be asbestos which fell away while I was tidying up
