    Building on sand

And not attached to the house. Good question. We have built on sandy friable ground. No problem. The main issue for us was side collapses and the trench requiring at least 1/3rd more concrete poring in, due to the non-regular trench sides. Building Control were fully au fait with the area...

How many newly-elected reformists have been suspended or ejected so far?

None of them bring anything to the table as far as improving lives in the UK are concerned. As long as they keep passing the "we all hate migrants and it's wots ruining the UK" chalice to one another, they'll all fester in their poisonous fact-free bile till they depart this fair isle. Oak post aesthetic sizing question...

Daft as it sounds, the jump from 6" up to 7", whilst only small in size might be big in pocket. I'd be more concerned with controlling the movement and how it affects the masonry.

It's more the difficulty attributing the lash-up of words he vomited out, to the image. I know aveatry is not the brightest, but that is a stretch right there.

    Engine lifting beam In workshop

Would you not be better off with a U beam style steel beam, whereby the lifting tackle can roll along the beam?
