Ideal logic combi 30, cannot repressurise after removing radiators

They’re usually ok to work on hot water as they circulate around the plate heat exchanger same as using it in summer mode. Your mates must have been something different. They usually have sensors/ntcs to prevent overheating

    Waste pipe leaking

It depends, if it’s not too far down to the drain connection, then maybe upgrade to pvc to that point and use a cast to pvc adapter, eg Fernco. If not a viable option, then maybe x2 fernco, a bossed pipe or piece of pipe and strap boss.

but the room sealed boiler is freely vented to outside, so not a clue how one tests it is room sealed, maybe some form of smoke generator? Aye you could, but combustion performance analyser (CPA/FGA) would be more suitable and what a gas engineer working on boilers should carry. As for an...

How do I go about this?

I want to learn more about electrics, not necessarily become an electrician, just more competent and professional in my existing gas engineer role. I try to take as much information as I can from reputable sources, such as @flameport ‘s website/YT channel. However I thought I would try and teach...
