    Hive install help

Looks like a Y-plan, hopefully you have the Hive dual channel receiver? Would say use the Drayton backplate, but you appear to be missing a captive screw. Your problem is more likely related to the motorised valve.

    Hive Install

It all depends. You mentioned replacing a Danfoss FP - where was this? You may have to check voltages, could be motorised valve failure.

    Hive Install

Where is the Hive and what is connected to heating on? Essentially, the link needs to be between heating on and the brown of your motorised valve.

    Hive Install

If you have removed the room thermostat and not put anything in it’s place, like a link, then you’ve left a circuit open and no way to close it unless you put a link in.

Yes Wiser is wireless, but still needs the receiver wiring in. It appears the Tado does have the option of being a 3 channel.

    Can't remove this fitting

If you look on the threads, I think I can see some flat parts, which means you should be able to dismantle it. However, it depends if the fitting is 1/2” or 15mm.

    An unsheathed wire

Heh? If you mean bottom cable then as per @flameport - the bottom left as you look at it. Also as per @flameport you need more then 3 terminals for each as you have more than 3 cores of each wire. Grommet size is likely 20 or 25mm. Maybe measure across the diameter?
