Sorry, me not knowing what I'm talking about as usual. It might be steam coming out - is that likely? Come to think of it, there's no smell of fumes in the garage... the big plastic hose seems to be leaking where it joins the actual burner - I can see what may be vapour coming out?

Just noticed there's exhaust gas leaking out from where this plastic pipe joins the flue, and it looks a bit knackered. It *LOOKS* like a simple question of turning it off, undoing the Jubilee clips, and replacing the hose.... am I right, or is there more to it than that? If I can do it, where...

Thanks, but I think yours must be a newer system - maybe introduced because of my problem! I've had the doors out when I replaced the wheels, and there's no rail/wheels at the top - just a bit of plastic to stop it flopping about. The doors are very heavy, which is presumably why the wheels...

Heard banging outside my bedroom window at 07:15 this morning - two hours later, all done. I had to sign some sort of form allowing OFTEC to come and inspect it, so I assume all in order - certainly looks OK to my uneducated eye.

Umm... he said they'd lay 3 concrete lintels on the existing base, and put the tank on that? In what ways do you think the base would be inadequate? Seems to have kept the existing tank flat & level for 30 years...
