Does Every Home Require RCD Protection?

Getting back on topic: Post photos of your Consumer units. The garage one imho sounds like it just requires the correct make of RCBOS/MCBS. No biggy having a plastic consumer unit as it's not habitable or is it directly linked to the house? The regulation quoted is so if anyone drills into a...

Main Consumer unit MCB for Garage Consumer unit

Is the Protective core being used for an Earth? Should be ok, some would say it should still be RCD protected or at least a time delay version. As long as the Earth loop impedance is low enough for the protective device for it it should be alright.

    Solar light query

Seems very odd, normally most have removable plastic film on the batteries or similar and even a button of some description to turn then "on", have you a link to light?

Dog shower too close to light switch

A ceiling mounted pull cord light switch would be a better option, it's only plastic conduit so should be easy enough.

    Old fuse.

I was working for a company that tests and completes EICR reports for Thames water in 2023 and we found asbestos, the guy i was working with didn't even bother reporting it to their health and safety guy as it was "too much hassle" I left a month later.

    Fuse board - EICR assessment

It's not ideal to have every circuit protected by One RCD if this is the case here, the board looks plastic but when it was installed probably completely compliant. Looks like the installers have taken good care from the labelling etc...

I also had a failed unit in my Kitchen, I did install them in 2017 though so just got a new unit. Most of the time it worked fine but occasionally flashed like a strobe.

How to connect LED drivers to 220v suply

This is rather odd, is that a stud wall? Where is the nearest power in relation to the wires? I would have though they should all be able to be connected together on one power source/switch Why hasn't the electrician wired them into a junction box of some description and just left them dangling...

New EICR before installing new CU

I'd certainly not dismiss another electricians Testing if the results look ok, some things are very personal in terms of C2/C3. Though I'd want to delve into an installation to fathom what requires updating/replacing/improving but I wouldn't bullshit someone by saying something was in the Regs...
