    Searching for Eaton rcbo

Pods might be the answer, I'll check the exact part number of the MCBs. They've been in for over 15 years, I think (no sign of an EIC)

    Searching for Eaton rcbo

Hi, does anyone know if Eaton Memshield do a 32A C curve type A SPSN 10kA single module width RCBO to fit their TP+N DB.and if so, the part number? I've searched every supplier I can think of and can only find solid neutral version. We'd need 9 of them. Looking at Eaton's web site just adds to...

115V AC between the dishwasher and the tile edging?

The RCD did not trip as the current imbalance was not sufficient. Dishwashers, etc, generally have a delta suppressor capacitor, which places low-value (often 0.1uF ) capacitors between L-N, L-E and E-N. If the appliance chassis is not, for some reason, connected to earth, then the chassis will...

    2010 version of Word

Office 2010 works fine on W10, that's what I use when I need it. Don't know if it works on 11 but very likely. Libre Office is pretty good. Mainly I use what evedamadiynot suggests.

    Alternative to Windows 11

Yes, Mint is a lightweight OS based on Ubuntu with all the basic software pre installed. I run it on my 13 year old ThinkPad. Not all Windoze software will run under Wine, but it's a good place to start and you can run VB on Mint if needed.

    Alternative to Windows 11

For that, I run virtual Windoze machines under VirtualBox (VB), isolated from the internet in the case of W2000, XP & 7. I still have apps that require XP & 7 , and I have a W10 VM with Office 2010 which lets me get round the odd Libre Office/ MS Office compatibility issue, of which there are...

    Whatdo do about recordings?

The problem with recording using a usb drive on a smart tv is that, unlike eg a Tivo, most of them (tvs) do not allow you to record one or two channels simultaneously whilst at the same time watching a third. However, since just about everything is available over the Internet on catch up, this...

    Alternative to Windows 11

But why would you want to clog up your machine with W11 when you can run Ubuntu. which will give you a familiar feeling GUI, with Thunderbird email client. Libre Office and either Firefox or Chromium browser are zero cost? You can download Ubuntu, then you will need to create a bootable usb...

What sort of earthing do I have?

Exactly. 411 says you can, 415 says you can't and refers you back to 411, which says you can. USW. So the regs are self contradicory are need to be corrected in a future addendum. Ps I missed your post #29, there are so many long posts in this thread

I've done 1000's over 50 years of building scenic flats. Mostly use a table saw, less tiring than a mitre saw as you are not fighting the spring all the time.
