2 hot, 1 luke warm, 6 cold radiators on ground floor

Yeah, next step is to call the installer. I suspect it is not an issue with the boiler but another part of the system (which is old) so happy to be reasonable to find the correct fix. Water colour when bleeding radiators varies from clean to a little dirty. Not black. Some radiators seem to...

2 hot, 1 luke warm, 6 cold radiators on ground floor

No, would like in the future. Thinking downstairs would all be underfloor and controlled separately. 1st & 2nd could be zones or just use TRVs?

2 hot, 1 luke warm, 6 cold radiators on ground floor

Do not like the sound of any of them. Balancing - unlikely as they have been hot before Sludge - possible. I guess I should power flush? TRVs - nope, they are old valves Failing pump - nope, we have one in the system boiler and another on the system Airlock - perhaps. Do I just bleed the valves...

2 hot, 1 luke warm, 6 cold radiators on ground floor

Hello, At the moment we only seem to have 2 hot radiators, 1 luke warm radiator and 6 cold radiators on our ground floor. What is the problem? Radiator on 1st and 2nd floor seem ok. Boiler is new, radiators are old. Thanks, Matthew

What is this black pipe near drain manhole cover and is it ok to remove?

Can it be replaced so it is not visible? What are my options here. My house has a vent stack not too far away.

What is this black pipe near drain manhole cover and is it ok to remove?

I wondered if it was a vent but it does not smell at all. Presumably a vent would vent bad odours?!

What is this black pipe near drain manhole cover and is it ok to remove?

Removed some ivy to discover an ugly black pipe near drain manhole cover. Is it ok to cut this off and cap or cut below ground level and cap? It looks like the drain receives surface water (blue line) and is a combined sewer (red line) and a private combined sewer (brown) joins the combined...

Reassurance before accepting a quote for a new boiler

3 port valve is Y Plan. Programmable timer is very vintage so maybe this is the problem? Going to be replaced with a Nest. Thank you everyone who has responded. I am learning so much. Forums are great.

Reassurance before accepting a quote for a new boiler

I think the benefit of having those components covered under a 7 or 10 year warranty within the system boiler and saving a bit of space is worth going system for us.

Reassurance before accepting a quote for a new boiler

True. I do not know if kW is usually quoted as heat input or heat output. The front of the boiler gets warm/hot so efficiency is not a strong point hahah.
