    Controlling multiple electric heaters centrally

In terms of storage heating, I really can't see why you can't simply switch to a low cost night time rate (lots are available), install a couple of them, and set them to heat up at the low rate period.

    Controlling multiple electric heaters centrally

I would suggest it's worth just getting an EPC, rather than guessing about it, then look at what improvements to make. My experience is that EPC surveyors vary in competence! So it's worth finding one who is (a) competent and (b) knows how to assess what's present to get the best rating...

HELP NEEDED! Are there any roofers out there that arent cowboys???

I also had experience of a roofer who was probably a good roofer, but very busy, and poor at communication. After literally a year of being strung along that he was going to come and do the job, I found someone else. Roofers with a good work based, personally recommended reputation are unlikely...

HELP NEEDED! Are there any roofers out there that arent cowboys???

I've had a couple of repairs done by excellent roofers - both were recommended by people I knew who'd had work done by them.

Ideas for protecting drain pipe from parking mishaps?

I wonder what you can hang from that bracket? Hanging basket? Punchbag? Wind chimes? Church bell? Inflatable chicken? Something that is visible to the driver, and that a car can hit without doing damage

Insulating under floorboards - I could try myself?

I agree - and sometimes, counterintuitively, you can free up nails by tapping them in a touch before getting them up. ...and once you've a board or two up, you might be able to lever them up from underneath, with a bar or chisel between the board and joist

High Gas Bills - Worchester Bosch and Tado

You could try just heating the rooms you're in. We don't heat empty rooms, and we don't have heating on at night. We keep doors closed between rooms whenever possible. Even though the tank is well insulated, we only heat water shortly before we're going to use it. I think our condensing boiler...
