    Draght Proofing Garage Doors

I have a problem with gaps top and bottom of my up/ over metal door. I fitted 3 of these to the top/ bottom to stop the draught, as it's a brush not rubber it opens and closes easier http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320472006820&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

    metal sheds

I had 1 years ago to store a motorbike, it was so flimsy, not secure (bolts), allowed so much condensation and the doors were pathetic. I lined the inside with wood panels to give it more ridgity but a wood shed would have been better in the 1st place

    Garage wall lining

ok getting around to this in the next week or 2 So the best lining is plywood fixed with wooden battons with angle brackets (where can i get these?). For better insulation i should use kingspan, etc slid behing the plywood. If condensation is still a problem then air vents placed at opposite...

    Garage wall lining

I use a small oil filled radiator (as can just be seen in the pics) when i'm in there for a while but was thinking of a de-humidifier. I had 1 a few years ago (previous garage) and it must have been an indoor 1 as when the temps were really cold it would freeze up and eventually died :( Just...

    Garage wall lining

I've just had a sectional concrete garage built (22ft x 10ft) and in this weather the walls (painted with masonary paint) are freezing so the car/ tools/ etc are covered in damp. I was thinking of lining the inside walls with wood panels and have seen some WEYROC P5 V313 18MM MOISTURE CHIPBOARD...

    Ford Focus Headlight Adjustment

I have a later model with Xenons but the adjustment should be the same. 1 of the screws adjusts the light left to right and the other adjusts up and down. It does take several turns before you notice the lights adjusting. Face the car at a wall approx 20 metres away and adjust until the...

    Rough price guide

There were numerous small problems after the rewire, sockets not working, switches not working, etc, the holes left in the walls were supposed to be filled in by a plasterer but he had 1 of his lads fill them with silicone instead  we left a dozen messages on his answerphone trying to...

    Rough price guide

We had the whole house rewired a few weeks ago and told that sparky about the plans for the garage. He left the cable saying he would wire it up if we wanted to lay the cable (to save some cost). That sparky turned out to be unreliable and left a mess so we aren't using him for the garage...

    Re-treating shed

I painted the new shed with a timbercare paint (autum gold) and to be honest it looks awful (too bright). I'm looking at getting a Cuprinol fence sprayer for the new fence and was wondering if i could go over the gold on the shed with a darker colour using the sprayer? Would it work or do i...
