I just found a standard 15mm isolation valve and the other end fits perfectly. So it looks like I just need to purchase flat faced ones. Screwfix don’t seem to stick them?

They look like the normal 1/2” open ended female with a rubber washer. I’m just really concerned that the only way to tighten the tails in the tap end is by twisting the flexible braided part. I’m afraid they will come loose over time or even when fitted. What a poor design!

Another update. A kind EBay seller who sells all sizes has stated that 400mm hinges have 40mm size plates. Would these suffice? Or do I go with bigger ones and cut them/bodge them in some way? Opinions please. Thanks.

Or I could tack some threaded bar onto the ends of the hinge plates and fix them in the wall with resin. I like that idea tbh
