    Shower Tray and Joists

If it is to be tanked and sealed at the corners/edges then that's certainly a great idea to stop any moisture getting to the P5. A 6mm cementitious board over the top will also help guard it from any water, if the seal was ever compromised. Will it be a full depth stone resin tray? If so that...

    Shower Tray and Joists

Personally I always replace P5 chipboard where a tray has to sit with OSB3/ply. Too many times I've been called in to re-do a shower and found the chipboard floor below has got wet and turned into mush. I also take the approach that the tray must be supported properly around it's outside edges...

Loctite 55 cord how good is it

Nope - as suggested ..... if it aint broke. Not taking away from the fact that a lot of people do use it and it is obviously suitable for what it's designed for.

    Bette bath universal fixing issue

I think I would be bending that down a bit so it catches on the notch more securely, what does the MI say?

    Ch pump leak, condensation?

If it's leaking then the O ring isn't doing its job. That'll be either because the new pump heads O ring isn't the right size for the housing or the old housing isn't exactly the right fit. Did you get the correct pump for the 105e - 7722642 (248042)? - it should have come with the full...

    Waterproofing shower over bath

For a bath with a shower then normally no need to tank - As long as the bath is in on batons and it has been sealed all the way around and then the bath pushed in, then seal along the top edge and then tile, then seal again. If anything then it may be any internal corners that might get a water...

    Question about mains water pressure/connection

Ah yep, an Insuduct, not hear it called a chocbox before, though I do see why. Oh my, nope that isn't right at all if that's your mains supply. I hope that 15mm plastic just runs to the outside tap and the mains is fed in somewhere else. Where is your mains stop tap?

    Question about mains water pressure/connection

Only ever heartd that for electrics?? No - the water mains should not be coming up out of the ground in 15mm speedfit. If you are getting 18-20L/Min at the outside tap then it shouldn't really be losing half that by the time it gets to the bath unless the dynamic pressure is poor? Do you know...

    Insert for black alcathene pipe

If using a compression fitting on any plastic pipe then it should have an insert. The old black alkathene can go brittle, so even more of a case to use an insert. Always use an insert on MDPE too.

New custom bath panel and problem floor vinyl gap

Honestly - try the scotia moulding, it offers a nice looking transition and if it's then coloured the same as the flooring and with the grain showing through then it should match quite well.

New custom bath panel and problem floor vinyl gap

Considered a 10mm internal scotia moulding and paint it to match the floor or panel.

    Emptying unvented cylinder

Yup - if it has an internal dip tube then it should self syphon to the bottom of that. Wouldn't have thought they would have made such a poor quality design faux pas, so it couldn't be drained all the way.

    Emptying unvented cylinder

That's a strange one, usually the feed and ergo the drain would always be below the lowest serviceable attachment. Only thing you could do is drain it down and if possible disconnect, if not then cut the cold feed and then insert a tube and syphon/wet vac out the water till below the level of...

Will shower pressure increase after works complete?

:ROFLMAO: ..... did you tell them that you have an electric shower and upgrading the mains water isn't part of the job, is it just a boiler change nothing else? ..... and what, will you be showering in the toilet? I'll tell you, some companies these days, outrageous.

    triton instaflow 5.4kw single

Have not but it all comes down to expected performance and what you will want out of the unit. Like any instantaneous heater like this, unless they are high powered (9-10Kw), the performance figures can be quite low at any reasonable flow rate, if you consider an average hand washing temp to be...

    New WC >6m from stack?

Absolutely and in practice there certainly shouldn't be a problem. It does seem though that the OP did check the regs, hence his 6m max length question, which is relative to his situation with the single WC into a stack and when it's looked at then it really shouldn't have a problem. The...
