Ch pump leak, condensation?

Fitted a new grundfos upso pump to my baxi 105 due to leak into control box tripping rcd.

Easy job, screws were easy to get out and it came straight off. Fitted new pump but it's started dripping(slowly) from where the head joins the housing. I took the pump off again and smeared a bit of fernox paste on the seal. Still leaking... I took the rubber seal off and replaced, still leaking. Could this be condensation or am I missing something.. the pump body housing isn't warped.. still using the boiler as it only drips every half an hour but obviously needs fixing. Anyone got any ideas.. is there a drain hole I'm missing for condensation on the boiler housing where the pump fits. Why is there a channel before where the rubber pump seal seats?.

Sounds like you just replaced the motor. It's usually an O-ring seal, if so it's worth smearing it with silicone grease. I assume you've cleaned up the mating surfaces.
If all else fails you could replace the pump body. Last one I did the price for the motor only was the same as the whole pump, so a no-brainer.

Reference to the screws made me think you'd just removed the motor. If you fitted a complete pump, isn't it a faulty unit? You wouldn't normally expect to separate the motor, just fit the whole thing. Less I'm missing something.

It's in a baxi boiler, you take 4 screws out and replace the pump head which fits onto the volute.

That's what I thought. So by body in #3 you mean the pump head?
Is it an O-ring? Replacing that might do it, if a new one didn't come with the new head.

It's brand new head, I already stated I put a another new seal on just to make sure , still leaking

Perhaps some red Hermetite or similar on the seal. Stops most leaks

If it's leaking then the O ring isn't doing its job. That'll be either because the new pump heads O ring isn't the right size for the housing or the old housing isn't exactly the right fit.

Did you get the correct pump for the 105e - 7722642 (248042)? - it should have come with the full housing, I would have just swapped the whole thing out, pumps are notorious for leaking if the head isn't exactly the right fit for the housing.
