Fridge Freezer out of storage, not working.......

I'm no expert in this field but (1) I wonder: why would nitrogen be chosen over compressed air for leak detection? (2) Over a storage period of several years even a microscopic leak could empty the refrigerant, so the soapy water test might not be successful at detecting such a leak.

New Flange Plunger Out Of Shape - Toilet Waste Pipe Partially Blocked

Sounds like you have a syphon flush with a damaged/worn diaphragm which needs replacing. Perhaps the diaphragm is partially blocking the syphon pipe section above it and restricting the flow?

New Flange Plunger Out Of Shape - Toilet Waste Pipe Partially Blocked

That looks like a very feeble flush in the video. Is the cistern water-level correct?

    Statins

A relative of mine had nasty side effects from statins, including severe mood swings, all-over body aches and low energy. Great improvement when she discontinued them.

New Flange Plunger Out Of Shape - Toilet Waste Pipe Partially Blocked

A full 2-gallon bucket of water emptied rapidly down the loo can clear quite severe blockages.

Dripping guttering - Can I fix a door canopy?

Since your gutters (and your neighbours' gutters) already overhang the public path I'd be surprised if a canopy with a similar overhang would be refused permission. But your visitors could then be subject to drips off the canopy!

How to reset garage cable back into groove wheel?

If the cable's jumping out of the groove perhaps the pulley wheel isn't rotating freely. Have you tried lubricating its bearing?

    Tried a skinny endoscope?

I recently bought an endoscope (2 metre cable version) for the grand sum of £1.52 including shipping from China !) and also found it kept losing the USB connection, when used with my Moto G14 phone and the manufacturer-suggested AN CAMERA app. However, when using the nExt CAMERA app (free of ads...

Will changing 15mm to 22mm increase flow rate?

For a given pressure differential between the two ends of a tube the flow rate is theoretically proportional to the fourth power of the radius, and flow resistance is the inverse of that. So for the same lengths of tube with the same pressure differential, going from 15mm to 22mm reduces flow...

Cutting and threading a ceiling light rod

Is that bolt removable? If so, you could file the lower end to reduce its diameter just enough to fit inside your reduced-length tube, then drill through tube and bolt diametrically and fasten the two with a pin through the drilled hole.

What does this tube attach to at the ceiling fitting? A downwardly protruding bolt?

    Thread sizes

Thanks guys. I was hoping to do a quick swap of an isolation valve, re-using the old valve's nuts and olives. I'm guessing the old (weeping) valve dates back 10 years or so. Doesn't look like a Prestex one.

Is the thread size of nuts on 15mm compression fittings (specifically isolation valves) in the UK standardised, or does it vary with manufacturer?
