    Removing rubber sheath

Why do you think that? It obviously doesn't need to be armoured indoors. Outdoors it's entirely enclosed in twinwall ducting in a location where it is not going to be damaged by digging, and arguably it isn't actually "buried" in the ground.

    Removing rubber sheath

Technically the lift shaft is the frame and panelling provided by the lift manufacturer, not the building void into which that is installed, and the cables (and a gas pipe) run behind it. Imagine how broken up I would be to find that the wiring regs count the building void as the "lift well".

    Removing rubber sheath

It has to run through the trunking in places as there's no other route through walls and across a lift shaft, and in one place needs to be fished behind a partition. On the walls where there's the 90° bend I could remove some of the trunking, or just the trunking lid, in order to accommodate...

    Removing rubber sheath

Supply to an outbuilding, It's in a duct "buried" in gravel between a patio and a fence, so no chance of accidentally JCBing it, so it doesn't need to be armoured, and it will be easier to pull through the ducting than SWA. Inside the house it needs to be singles as they will run in surface...

Fixing plant supports to Durafence composite panels or to the Duraposts

Duraposts are steel, but only of the mild variety, so there is no reason on earth why a drill bit should break when drilling it. You're right that fixing into the panels would be a poor idea. Does this neighbour get on with the one next door, or is that you? Duraposts have holes, but only on...

    Lawnmower Q

Dunno if this should be here, as its about a garden machine, but not gardening, or in cars because it's about an engine, but not a car. I've got a John Deere push mower with a 140cc Briggs & Stratton engine. A couple of weeks ago I started it, not just for the first time this year, but for the...

Oo-err missus. That's got that out of the way. How realistic is it to be able to strip 11m of sheath off 10mm² H05 or H07RN-F 3-core cable?

Ok to spray paint on cables?

My "argument" very much follows what you wrote. Nowhere will you find me saying that painting the cables will, or even might, cause problems. What you will find is me replying to what you wrote. Let's look again at the sequence of posts, shall we? How about this useful mantra: Stop...
