    Central heating issue

I’ll give it a go. I’m completely baffled as 90% is above board and all new install that I’ve done. The rest is in places leaks would be obvious. I’ve not checked the other zones as they are sealed off so that takes that out of the equation. I’ll take a look at everything step by step again and...

    Central heating issue

It dropped whilst these valves were closed off. I closed both the magnet ones which is the cold feed in. Then the valve on the pump. So it was isolated. I haven’t opened it back up as the gauge is on zero now anyway.

    Central heating issue

Very strange. The hot pipe goes straight up to my office, so water would be coming back into the boiler cupboard if leaking. Then across to one other rad, but again by now I’d have water through that small section, as it’d be near 10trs now at a guess. No the only drain is in the cupboard. It...

    Central heating issue

After isolating the boiler at the pump and the magnet cleaner. The pressure has dropped to zero still.

    Central heating issue

The hot water is on an immersion only. I have a direct tap to heat in the kitchen.

    Central heating issue

There is nothing from the prv. Was a small trickle before I replaced it.

    Central heating issue

Yes I thought that wouldn’t be the culprit, but best to ask

    Central heating issue

I do have this pressure valve also. But I can’t unless I’m being stupid see how if this had failed I’d be dropping pressure like I am.

    Central heating issue

I’ve filled it around 6 times now and pipework in the walls/ceilings would be very obvious. It’s a Maisonette too, so I don’t have pipes in the ground. Boiler is on the 1st floor. absolutely certain. I can see the condensate pipe at the bottom of the boiler, it goes straight out the wall...

    Central heating issue

No nothing like that. And most of the rads are direct to the boiler over skirting that I installed. So can see all the pipework. It’s very strange.

I’ll do it over night and see what happens

    Central heating issue

Just check and pressure back down to near 0, last filled it up around 5.30. There is zero water anywhere, both overflows are dry as a bone too. At an absolute loss

    Central heating issue

I’m pretty sure we do as it’s not been used and ends up empty, I can double check this. Only things I haven’t replaced is the expansion, but again this let me pressurise it to 1.5 and the bottle trap. The boiler is just heating. It has 3 zones, but two have not been active the last few weeks...

    Central heating issue

Thanks. Where would it be leaking from the boiler. I have no water anywhere, same with the system. It’s really not making sense. Would a bottle valve trap inside the boiler that’s failed (not leaking water) cause any issues like this?

    Central heating issue

I don’t have one of those.

    Central heating issue

There are definitely no leaks from rads or from pipework. I can see all the pipework apart from a couple small sections, but by now there would be stacks of water.

    Central heating issue

I’ve got a central heating system that’s losing pressure. The expansion vessel was repressurised to 1.5 and held that pressure. I’ve replace the prv to a brand new one also. I’ve turned the boiler off and put the condensate into it and no water has come out. No water is coming out of the prv...
