Full brake clean and tyre alignment

We have 3 in the family and they are great cars. Id probably own one myself but i feel they lack a bit of go, even my stepfathers 1.4 Si is gutless. Not had the pleasure of doing the spark plugs yet but they are due soon.

Full brake clean and tyre alignment

It's never a bad idea to get the wheel alignment checked really but in reality most won't bother. Maybe consider it when you go for new tyres.

Buying a car online unseen and warranties.

I Think id only be comfortable buying from someone that has a return in x amount of days if not happy. You always seem to miss something on an initial inspection, sometimes paint quality can be disguised with certain polishes which is a bit ott but im particular about bodywork condition.

How on earth do you value a car before buying?

Just look at similar cars for sale really, you will get an idea of current prices. Prices are silly but people are still buying.

Ive got a soft spot for them, had 2 B5 versions and always fancied a B6.

Broken flywheel, should I scrap the car?

If it were in good clean working condition with a fresh mot I'd say its worth £1500. Still a popular car in estate form. Hard to know what to do really, clutch job seems high at £1100. Maybe stick it on ebay as is and hope the bidding reaches a decent sum.

Polo TDI 6R - glow plug feed voltage

Sounds normal to me if close to battery voltage. The glow plug light flashing usually points to another issue so I'd code read it first.

    Plastic pipe fitting

Im repairing a leak on some 70s plastic 1/2 durapipe, similar to polyorc. I have glued on a fitting i had for it which has a 1/2 Bsp thread in the end, parallel thread. I was wondering which is the best fitting for this to go to 15 mm copper, i have wound in an iso valve i had with some ptfe...

Agreed but always interesting to know what the true valuation is compared to dealer mark up etc.

Is there a Parkers Guide on the internet like the printed edition

I think if you start to fill out the info on Autotrader for selling a car it will suggest a retail price which is handy. Not tried this myself.

    One man brake bleeder kit

I've had varying degrees of success with one tbh but I still try it. I've been meaning to look for a better one. I usually resort to the old fashioned way being gentle on the pedal, some say you can flip seals on the master but ive never seen it in 30 years touch wood.

    One man brake bleeder kit

I find they all leak a little, try reducing the pressure see if it helps.

    One man brake bleeder kit

I'm not sure tbh, I did read that some cars the required pressure was more like 30 psi which the gunson won't do.

    One man brake bleeder kit

Yes it's quite an involved procedure apparently but I've never tried it.

    One man brake bleeder kit

last couple of vag cars ive done with an eezi bleed ive struggled to get any meaningful flow out of the bleed nipples and resorted to the pedal. Someone told me you need vw software to activate the abs valves to do it properly but ive not had any issues personally, this may be needed when doing...

    Mini Clubman/Countryman servicing info?

We used to own a basic one edition and it was fine in our ownership but I've read some horror stories regarding reliability.
