    There are quite a few mobile guys around these days offering diagnosing/cleaning services so I'd maybe look at one of these that see all the problems, egr valves can cause codes like this too. A lot of people go for "egr and dpf solutions" but I won't elaborate on those!

    Probably beneficial to check the plugs etc first and when it was last serviced. Cant see it being the coil pack if it’s just down on power and not misfiring But you never know.

    Try a battery disconnect to reset first but it sounds like a case of looking to see if Ford have some sofftware updates available or a bit of googling to see if its the unit at fault.

    The ones you pictured are Known as superseal connectors and a pita to use to be honest. Cant remember if you also need a removal tool to get the connectors out.

    Those you listed lift the locking tab on the left hand one and pull apart. They may be tight due to rhe rubber seal.

    The Halfords industrial range are ok, now called advanced I believe but well priced and offers are available throughout the year. Mostly around bank holidays I find, bag a trade card and get discount too if you have one of the listed trades or a family member does.

    It's a diesel so what is your mileage like usage wise? Failed dpf regens can cause the oil level to increase which if not monitored can lead to disaster.
