    Flummoxed by spot lamp instructions

Hi Hope everyone keeping well. Bought this lamp for our kitchen but bit perplexed by design and instructions. (I know that’s entirely down to me) https://www.argos.co.uk/product/3366260 Context is using WAGO boxes due to lack of cable in ceiling. 1. The connector block for the three lamps...

Hi All Dealing with aftermath of bathroom leak above our kitchen. Leak sorted so waiting for everything to dry out etc. Water tracked through light fitting. Aside from that we got away with just a cracks in ceiling and some staining, no bowing or collapse of plasterboard. Just bought basic...

    Honeywell BK-G4M gas meter

Thanks v much. In this instance I should have submitted 37, instead of 37.293. My fault, but BG app was still expecting five digits. God knows how it will affect our bill?

    Honeywell BK-G4M gas meter

Evening All Had the above fitted to replace a corroded one in May. Am I right in thinking the new ones record usage/therms differently to old ones. We used 57 units between Feb and March and then 0000000s from May to today, coinciding with Mediterranean weather. I think I may have...

    Hardy fuchsia query

Thanks. The only info I could find on cutting back was if you do it in the spring, cut back to 10cm above ground etc. You’re not advocating I do that now, are you?

    Hardy fuchsia query

Hi We’ve had this monster bush for 25 years. I missed the boat (again) in not cutting back in the spring, so wondered if I just leave it until next year to do this. Also seems to have a few nice flowers but more deadheads. Am I right in thinking I don’t need to separately deal with these? So...

Help me identify these bushes please

Hi again Pretty sure the STJW was there first. Think I would have noticed and commented on the tall stem earlier. (The bushes there when we moved on 25 years ago) Thanks

Help me identify these bushes please

On closer inspection, leaves v similar shape to those of lilac. However mine have a serrated edge, which is more suggestive of alder or hazel? Attached images are front of back of our leaves. Thanks

Help me identify these bushes please

Hi again Decided to go for the nuclear option. The problem is the intruder seems to have already formed a wide and hard root. It’s also adjacent to the hypericum roots, so don’t want to damage those. How would you proceed from here? Thanjs

Help me identify these bushes please

Hi (Thanks for previous help with plants for border-on the case with that) We’ve had two bushes on t’other side of garden for years. Never done any maintenance. (explaining why one is now too close to conservatory) You will also see the stem of another bush protruding from the bush on the...

    Weed infested flower bed

Hi Topsy turvy indeed. Your last paragraph reflects the challenge. Short answer-not really sure, but like to go for something that will provide coverage, colour and require limited maintenance. I also see the virtue of spuds to clear the soil. Thanks

    Weed infested flower bed

Didn’t mention our massive slug problem. Priority has been stopping them getting into kitchen and conservatory, but guess toms would attract them? Thanks

    Weed infested flower bed

Thanks again. Noted re treatment of stubborn weeds. I have Weedol. Is that comparable to Glyphosate? Re the non mulched area- are you just recommending hoeing/weedkiller to prepare for bedding plants? Back of bed-should have said this problem exacerbated by next door being empty for years.
