We do have stones/gravel out the front which we want to get rid of at some point. Wouldn't the chairs/table be a bit unstable though on gravel? Ty for the idea!

Green really. The original plan was to wild flower bomb around the outside of the garden and have grass in the middle. We would leave the patio/replace it for sitting out in the evenings or maybe even getting a fire pit. :)

Anyway to repair this Power washer cable? (photos)

Well.. Seems like a lot of people on here don't believe me lol However, looks like we are BOTH wrong/right. After seeing some of the pictures on here (showing PSI gauge on the wire/hose) I thought i'd made a mistake so just went to check it again. I unwound the hose fully today and it IS the...

Two part question : Has anybody used a decking kit and are they worth it? / Is decking a good idea in this area.

Ty for the reply and ANY help is welcome. That's a good idea tbh and hadn't thought about that. However, the quote i'd got was actually just for the materials (Cement/Sharp sand) for doing the patio and not the slabs themselves. I was going to get free slabs off of FB. I asked on reddit and...

Two part question : Has anybody used a decking kit and are they worth it? / Is decking a good idea in this area.

hi. Sorry to start off with this but we moved into a house last year and sadly since then we've had a string of bad luck. My wife became ill and had to give up work and i've had to reduce hours to take care of her. This will be like this for 3-4 years due to her illness so money IS very very...

Anyway to repair this Power washer cable? (photos)

Hi. No its not. I check the cable everytime I use it and after. It was fine before using it and when I was putting it away (lifted the log) it was damaged under the log.

Anyway to repair this Power washer cable? (photos)

Thank you! So would heatshrink make it waterproof etc? It's hard to see if the metal armouring is damaged as it's just the fabric sheathing under it.

Anyway to repair this Power washer cable? (photos)

Hi, no, sadly it's the power cable. One end has a plug on the end and the other plugs into the jet wash.

Anyway to repair this Power washer cable? (photos)

Hi there. We have this power washer (2 years old) and sadly The outer cable looks like it's worn away and the fabric sheeth(?) inside is visible. Its only been used 4-5 times and earlier this year, whilst cleaning the front garden a log fell on it (we have a few random ones around the garden...

Did this house fire REALLY start because of a turned off Air fryer OR faulty wiring?

While i agree this isn't always possible. My old flat had switches, in the kitchen, which were not easy to get to unless you were double jointed lol. It doesn't help that alot of appliances have extremely short cables so they end up sitting infront of some switches which also make it somewhat...

Did this house fire REALLY start because of a turned off Air fryer OR faulty wiring?

I hope it's okay to put this question here as it IS about electrical items AND plugs etc. I am having a debate with a friend. This family came home to find their house was on fire. The firemen said it started because of the Airfryer. They're adamant that it was switched off at the wall BUT...

What wire strippers do i need for 3 core (1cm+) wire?

Sorry to ask a 'nooby' question but I've asked in my local DIY shop and they've sold me a dud (second time it's happened) and I no longer trust them. I have a very slight mobility problem with my right hand. I used to use a razorblade to strip the wires when ever i'd need to however, since my...

Laying a floor on my own - First time - What type of Plywood is best to lay/Adhesive question?

Ty! It'll be for a year maybe two at most. Would you even bother with adhesive/Tape?

Laying a floor on my own - First time - What type of Plywood is best to lay/Adhesive question?

Must admit we did think that but we were advised not to lay them directly onto the tiles as while it looks level it would eventually show up through the offcut. They also said that adhesive wouldn't stick to the tiles. Is that correct or were they just trying to get us to pay for a fitting? lol

Laying a floor on my own - First time - What type of Plywood is best to lay/Adhesive question?

Hi there. We moved into a house last year and we believe the family before had a dog that used this hallway as it's own possible toilet. We have tried everything to clean the carpet but the stains just 'wicks' through again. We even paid for a 'professional' to try it and they ended up...
