    But of course that area of roofing was supported by 3 rafters and in essence it is now supported by 2 rafters albeit with lesser weight, hence why usual default method is to double up rafters each side of opening to give 4 rafters of support

    I should imagine stopping the free flow of water along the guttering to its lawful(?) discharge point will result in legal action being taken against you

    Could be a sticking micro switch, gently tap the unit with a piece of wood a few times and see if that actuates the motor

    Further to the above if you are au fait with spreadsheets I have put one together based on the examples around page 16 to determine wall thicknesses required based on various parameters depending which ones are chosen. Unfortunately I can only put up a print of the spreadsheet so the sheet...

    Crack in brick wall

    Had a similar problem with mine due to foundations being a couple of rows laid at surface level, fortunately mortar was softer than bricks so no cracking as such. A bit of TLC to sort.
