Rising main, should I convert 15mm to 22mm?

All depends on what service pressure/available flow/length of pipework to be replaced/ what flow is acceptable. My supply is more than adequate with house approx 15m from boundary box and fed by 1/2 inch copper pipe. Normal header tank storage no combi boiler.

Rising main, should I convert 15mm to 22mm?

Standard minimum acceptable value for flow at edge of property stop valve is 9l/ min, depending on where your tap is on the system your supply seems to be at the low end. Ask water company to confirm flow and pressure at their boundary box, pressure should be at least 7metres head.i.e. enough to...

    Radiator 'whooshing noise'

Try fully opening the lockshield valve? Take note of how far its opened at the moment so if it upsets the balancing of the system you can always turn it back down to the original setting.

Will changing 15mm to 22mm increase flow rate?

Typical 1st splurge due to force of mains pressure within the feed pipe that then reduces to whatever it does due to a constriction within the supply pipe. Possible cause of all your woes.?

    gas boiler

Replaced a radiator and bled it, if that's your analysis of the situation you sound like cowboys with no idea i.e. was it a pressurise system that needed re pressurisation or a gravity fed system, did you just isolate the old and fit the new radiator.

    Boiler Running Query

Bang boiler stat up to 6 and see if that works in the short term but sounds like its time for a new boiler

    Boiler Running Query

And does this happen straight away or when the system has been running for a while and all the radiators are hot. Try putting boiler stat up a notch. I assume one of the radiators does not have a TRV setting so flow through the system is not blocked off completely at some point in the heating cycle

    Fixing Loose Coving In Place

I would drill 1/2" hole in the middle of the sprung coving, 1" from the end and then shoot coving adhesive into it so it fills in the back and also crosses over to the adjacent piece, then push the sprung bit back into place and secure. Securing is the hard bit but a couple of nails up against...
