US and Israel attack on Iran. What was the point?

What about Trumps record gives you the impression he makes decisions based on careful consideration and after weighing different opinions and the possible risks?

US and Israel attack on Iran. What was the point?

They painted themselves into a corner. They thought Iran would fold like an origami swan and weren't willing to expend the lives and equipment needed to invade Iran. Without a position of strength they've had to agree to Iranian terms.

Since he is lying, yet again, no. Turnout was low, 59.7% and only 28.8 million votes. But still above 2001 which was 59.4% and 26.4 million. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001_United_Kingdom_general_election

US and Israel attack on Iran. What was the point?

The end of sanctions will leave Iran hugely better off. They now have control of the Hormuz straight and I expect them to start charging a toll as part of the longer term settlement. Iran is now more belligerent, the IGRC is in more control of the country (that's a bad thing). There is nothing...

A head-on fatal collision between two trains in mid Wales could have been avoided, an investigation has found.

Trap points are only allowed for very specific areas and that part of the route didn't qualify, and reading the report the driver and signaler probably wouldn't have used them. The driver thought he'd come to a stop after his stop signal but before the other train and he was doing so, at least...

A head-on fatal collision between two trains in mid Wales could have been avoided, an investigation has found.

The rule book says that if your train is not slowing quickly enough then you should use the emergency sander in addition to the normal braking system (which includes the automatic sander). The emergency sander dumps 2-3 times as much grit down. According to the report the driver wasn't aware...

They do test the sanders, but the daily test mechanism only checked the dispenser unit...

Good news day for health: Cancer, Teeth and Vaccines

None of this is true, or even relevant to the thread. We can go around again where you keep spouting nonsense about conspiracy theories but we've done it to death by now.

Trumps attack on Iran - 2026 edition

It only hit 60% after the US president of the time arbitrarily cancelled JOPCA. Pretending it was still in force after the US shat on it is silly.

Good news day for health: Cancer, Teeth and Vaccines

So every medical organisation in the world and every government medical body and every medical journal is coordinating together to conspire to make you have one of fifty or so different vaccines developed independently to prevent COVID deaths. But I'm sure you know better about it.

Narrators voice: The evidence says the vaccines worked fairly well and had fairly low side effects.

You're just here to be a dick, not to be happy about good news about medical advances.

Which one of the vaccines are you objecting to again?

If you're in a car crash and you still get a flailed chest even though you're wearing a seatbelt does that mean it had zero effect?

Trumps attack on Iran - 2026 edition

Even if they dilute it down, which they haven't agreed to yet, that just brings us back to JOPCA.

Good news day for health: Cancer, Teeth and Vaccines

This is what happens when people don't understand how vaccines work. When you get infected by germs vaccines make your immune system work faster. Sometimes fast enough you can never tell you were infected, often enough to make the symptoms gentler.

Isn't there a quote about someone lying about the little things also lying about the big things?
