    Virgin

Yes, I will admit that the last time I saw a BT box left open to the elements - I reported it. Only because it was the box that I am immediataly connected to & didn't want any down time if some drinker put his/her boot into it! Obviously Virgin or it's customers don't care.

I appreiciate it's a game chasing vandalism, but these boxes are within at least a quarter mile radius. It's the harm that rainwater can do that would concern me. Luckily not a Virgin subscriber. Plus - these have been in this condition for years.

Keyless entry and what will happen?

I'm not sure to be honest - it's a Nissan. There is an emergancy key inside the fob, so there must be somewhere to put it! As for disabling the keyless - prob not.

    I'm amazed that Virgin's network actually works at all. 20180606_164209 by gman76 posted 10 Aug 2018 at 8:59 PM20180606_164359 by gman76 posted 10 Aug 2018 at 8:59 PM20180608_175626 by gman76 posted 10 Aug 2018 at 8:59 PM20180612_174107 by gman76 posted 10 Aug 2018 at 8:59 PM

Keyless entry and what will happen?

As an owner of a (warmish) performance car with keyless entry & start, this infuriates me. It's all about convenience for the consumer & security can take a back seat. Yes it is easier to leave the keys in your pocket, but is it really worth the inconvenience of having your car stolen? I think...

    Cable identity

No, I don't think they are rated for mains - they are normally used for CB microphones. I think there must have been a "wall wart" of some description at the other end of the cable.

Looks like one of these. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-PIN-MULTI-CONTACT-MULTI-PIN-LINE-SOCKET-FEMALE-CB-MIC-PLUG-WITH-CABLE-GRIP-/111959451287

Rats are back again. Out of ideas.

I'm no drain expert, but the entry into the inspection chamber from upstairs looks like it's angled against the flow and kinda just thrown in. Could you install an IR IP camera under the floor with pan and tilt to see where they are coming in? They might chew it though!

Need a support for a shower curtain rail

I think you need to have another look at your fixings at the end above the shower - looking at the rail in relation to the tile grout lines, it is already falling down.

Kindly help recommend car light bulbs

Driving lights will only come on with full beam. It's illegal to use front fog lights unless in "conditions of seriously reduced visibility". I'm not sure that poor eye sight would fall into that category!

complete brake failure, I'm a lucky boy

I also couldn't floor the accelerator. Or use the full travel of the brake pedal if there was a problem with the brakes for example. Like I said - not in full control of the vehicle.

complete brake failure, I'm a lucky boy

You required a lesson to become aware of this? I would not feel in control of the vehicle otherwise. I couldn't operate the clutch correctly for a start, as both my legs are roughly the same length.
