Boiler fused spur and power cut

It must be an unswitched socket. Boilers require double-pole isolation and some switched sockets are only single-pole. Someone could switch off the switch and the boiler would not be completely isolated if still plugged in. Gas rules / boiler instructions usually.

    Analogue or digital ?

You don't need to go full fibre to have your voice 'line' switched to Digital Voice (Voice over IP). If you change supplier, or possibly even a new fixed term contract with existing supplier, this can trigger a migration to Digital Voice over VDSL (fibre to the cabinet). BT are wanting everyone...

Double Socket with FCU For Boiler? Recommendations Please

Boilers require Double Pole isolation so must be used with a plug and an UNSWITCHED socket, or with a FCU. Plugging into a switched socket is not permitted, as not all switched sockets are DP switched. This might be in Gas Safety regs rather than Electrical regs, but is required.

Ceiling rose and wide light fitting

No, you drill a small hole in the decorative rose and feed the cables through from above. Then affix the light fitting onto (below) that. If it won't sit solidly over the flower effect you will need a decorative rose with a larger flat centre, or a different fitting.

Overhead telephone cable in way of extension

About £90 + VAT if it's classed as "External Shift", or £90+VAT per hour for time-based work. Moving to a different pole may not be possible if that pole's fully occupied, and the other pole may go back to a completely separate part of the local network. Those are the wholesale rates - what they...

    Plug extension to outside

Is the circuit RCD protected? All new sockets must be RCD protected. Is the circuit a ring or a radial? If a ring, is that single socket on a ring or a spur? If it's a spur (and it could be run as two single sockets which was permitted until, I think, 16th Edition) you cannot run any further...

Is this batten light Ok for central wires ?

The Screwfix LAP one is NOT central or flush entry at all. The only cable entry is the gland at one end and, as it does not continue a CPC through the fitting, is unsuitable for daisy-chaining.
