Gravity Fed Low Pressure - is power shower an option

Hi Guys, I have previously asked for help but suggested solution are no longer viable. I have a gravity fed system and shower pressure is too low to cope with. The gap between shower head at its top and base of cold water tank is just over a meter. Raising the tank is not an option as...

Low Pressure in Shower Y Plan Condensing

Thanks, I will check the tank but I don't understand why raising cold water tank will make any difference to hot water in shower. Hot Water Tank is on the same floor as the shower. The tank in loft is cold water tank. Also why builders don't consider these things in their designs. There is...

Low Pressure in Shower Y Plan Condensing

I have changed shower head and hose. Shower tails? Where do I find supply valves? Make/Model - it is just a pipe coming out of wall, not an electrical shower. I am surprised how previous owners coped with it for so long.

Low Pressure in Shower Y Plan Condensing

It is just a standard shower over bath, not electrical. Distance - I reckon about 5 - 6 feet If I take the shower head off the holder and hold it lower, it makes a marginal difference to pressure, very marginal or may be none. Tank in loft is a small one. However in the airing...

CH goes off with HW but comes if lever is pushed

Is it worth replacing the valve itself or do you think taking the motor head out and putting it back again might resolve the issue.

HELP!! MY BOILER WILL HEAT MY WATER BUT NOT MY RADIATORS!!

It will be in the airing cupboard [assuming you have the same system as mine]. Mine has three pipes going in/out from it. Have a look and may take a picture and people can point it out. Note any numbers or model etc. it will help identify what is what.

HELP!! MY BOILER WILL HEAT MY WATER BUT NOT MY RADIATORS!!

Sounds similar to the issue I had recently. If you have the same Y plan system you might find this useful http://www.diynot.com/forums/plumbing/boiler-only-turns-on-with-hot-water-not-with-ch.299877/#2188650

CH goes off with HW but comes if lever is pushed

Hi Guys, I had the classic case of hot water and CH but no CH on its own. After much research and useful helpful on the forum, I ended up replacing the motor Head. Now CH comes on its own :-) and stays on for as long as I want. However if turn HW on with the CH it goes off when HW goes off. I...

    Leaking Valve in Airing Cupboard

oohh dear, what would have happened had I left the valve closed for long. Could this be the reason that Grundfos pump is making a loud noise.

    Leaking Valve in Airing Cupboard

That attempt using the tape was an absolute waste of tape. It stopped the leak for may be 2 minutes.

    Leaking Valve in Airing Cupboard

Tom, much thanks, I have just figured out what you meant by gland nut and I have tightened it a bit, it did seem a bit on the loose side and turned easily for about 3/4 of the way. Feels all tight now. The valve is set full clock wise, shall I leave it like that ?

    Leaking Valve in Airing Cupboard

    Leaking Valve in Airing Cupboard

See the valve circled in blue. I am not sure what this valve is and which way it should be. This is the one which is going in to hot water tank and the other end is joining the pipe between pump and divertor valve. Its leaking since I turned it in an attempt to fix my other CH issue. Now...
