Constant trickle fans -Fan isolators or fused spur?

One of my other properties has them fitted above the doorway/entrance to bathroom and kitchen. Tenant keeps turning them off as she reckons it makes the rooms cold. Starting to get black mould in areas now and have never had problems before. Cheers

Constant trickle fans -Fan isolators or fused spur?

I don't think they will bother to remove a fuse tbh. The Envirovent fans are silent on when on constantly/trickle. They will only be aware of them when boost is activated. The reason is I have had this before with fan isolators being fitted and mould/no air flow in bathrooms and found fan...

Constant trickle fans -Fan isolators or fused spur?

Hi all Cracking on with rewire on one of my properties and done x2 rings and ripped out all the old wiring etc. Looking to fit x2 constant trickle fans. One in bathroom and one in kitchen. The kitchen one was fed from a switched fused spur (4" hole already there). The bathroom one...

Advice - Anyone recommend a a single bowl stainless sink?

It dues se a bit dodgy. I've decided on this now. 0.8mm thick and good reviews. https://ebay.us/m/LGmvUA What taps are you guys fitting from Screwfix/Toolstation or similar? something modern and simple (don't want pull out shower head etc) and that can be replaced if fault occurs. Plus what...

Advice - First Fix Ring main or Radial?

Mmm. Did not think about that regarding AICO alarms. Pretty stupid not to have some done go of induction when power is lost. Are the lithium batteries in the 3000 series 10 year though? Which is the lifespan of the alarm as well.

Advice - Anyone recommend a a single bowl stainless sink?

It will probably be a monobloc with integral flexi's.

Advice - Anyone recommend a a single bowl stainless sink?

Advice - First Fix Ring main or Radial?

It's one of my rentals mate. I'm gutting the place as it's not been done for years. Needs EiCR etc. plus in Wales it's also mandatory to have interlinked mains battery back up smoke alarms upstairs and downstairs. I always fit AICO.

Advice - First Fix Ring main or Radial?

Not sure if its fridge freezer will need its own curcuit tbh. The kitchen is the longest run as well as it's the opposite end of the CU in the extension. I will be leaving 900mm gap (think that's enough?) at end of units for tenant to supply their own. In all my years as a spark it's been...

Advice - First Fix Ring main or Radial?

Upstairs ring main. Downstairs ring main. Kitchen ring maim. Plus separate feed for boiler. Upstairs lighting Downstairs lighting. That makes it x6 RCBOs. I will also be fitting wired smokes uo and downstairs and probably a a combined heat/smoke in kitchen. All interlinked. Are you...

Advice - Anyone recommend a a single bowl stainless sink?

Hi all. Getting stuff ready for kitchen fit in a rental and seem some terrible stainless recently. They seem very thin/flexible and cheap imo. Is there anywhere who supplies a half decent solid sink for around £80? I have a Franke in my property and it seems rock solid compared to ones in...

Advice - First Fix Ring main or Radial?

Looks like ring up. Ring down and kitchen ring then. Lighting downstairs with feed to switch's as it has downlights. Upstairs I might do 3plate/feed to pendant. Thanks

Advice - First Fix Ring main or Radial?

Hi All Industrial Spark by trade and done my 18th years ago. Chasing walls etc and doing first fix. Looking at loads of posts/threads it seems ring mains are no longer a thing with reduced wattage items etc. Radials seem normal with a 20a RCBO. Upstairs/Downstairs/boiler/kitchen. Then...

What fire rated downlights are you all fitting?

100%. Exactly, it's devolved and English law does not apply.

What fire rated downlights are you all fitting?

Lamp type make no difference it's the fitting that is fire rated. EICR is required every 5 years as it's a rental on Wales. Plus interlinked smokes, one up, one down. CO can still be battery but I'll fit wired plus combined heat/CO in kitchen.
