I get ya. However, up until now I have been applying the adhesive to the back of the tile not to the wall. Is this wrong?

Oh I didn't realise that you were not supposed to let the primer dry. I thought you apply all of the primer to the entire wall, let it dry, and then start the tiling, and the moisture in the adhesive would then bond to the primer.

The adhesive I'm using is made by BAL and the instructions say that a primer is required if the plaster is highly polished. How can I tell if the plaster is highly polished? If it is highly polished it says to use "BAL BOND SPR" or "BAL PRIME APD", are these the same as PVA?

Thanks for the reply gcol, I think I understand what you're saying. So when I reach the corner of the wall and I need to cut the tile, do I use the offcut of this tile to begin the other wall i.e. the two pieces of the same tile meet each other?

I've tried loads of PTFE but it doesn't make much difference. As for completing another turn, the tap at the minute is sitting 90° to the right meaning I would have to turn it another 270° to straighten it up, surely the pipe would crack? Perhaps I could use a washer? If so, what type of...

I've had an outside tap installed but it's sitting slightly crooked. To straighten it up means having to lightly loosen the tap, but this just isn't practical as if I've a hose attached to it the tap will move. I've tried PTFE tape but this is now use! How can I get the tap straight?
