Best way to scribe to ceiling approx 120cm width.

Hi opps - I probably wasn't clear. The 36cm is the difference between the highest point of the ceiling and the lower bit of ceiling where the it slants/curves down (might be best if I stick a pic up). It drops like this on the front and back of the house. I'm also struggling to visualise your...

Best way to scribe to ceiling approx 120cm width.

... ...Well would be. I've completely lost my knack for scribing (this is a little more difficult due to the position and weight of the MDF board. I drew (and I did this a number of times) what I thought was the perfect scribe line only to find out on the cut that the slanted bit has a huge...

Best way to scribe to ceiling approx 120cm width.

Thought of that foxhole but there's a height difference of 36cm...if I can do an 'approximate scribe' first so the MDF is offered up much more closely then that's the solution right? I've left a little on the length just in case I 'over scribe'. So...If I measure the ceiling width until it...

Indesit IDV65 drum struggling to turn.

Thanks folks. Since levelling it up it's been ok. The trouble has also been with the floor behind it. When we moved in a few years ago the kitchen was 'relatively' new but whoever did it made the decision to only tile up to the appliances (instead of all the way behind) in some assumed cost...

Best way to scribe to ceiling approx 120cm width.

Hi all, I've just studded out a frame on the wall (3x2) to hang a piece of MDF onto (with a hole cut out in the middle for a TV bracket). The 12mm MDF will overhang the frame slightly so I can hide LED strip lighting behind. The piece is mainly square (1200mm width x 1650 mm height) but the...

Indesit IDV65 drum struggling to turn.

Definitely a possibility. It was also leaning back (levelling legs at the back have broken) which stopped the drum turning. Placing a piece underneath at the back to level it out is helping but it struggles with heavy loads now. Not sure the drum is sitting properly now (the felt band seems a...

Need new tumble dryer motor (20583025) - any suggestions?

Ha! Are you going to apply the same fix? Let us know how you get on. Five years isn't bad at all for that cheap fix.

Indesit IDV65 drum struggling to turn.

...Just to add, I've seen fixes applying to the start capacitor but not sure if that's down to machines that don't turn at all i.e. this machine does spin so more inclined to think it's a physical issue (and maybe due to the machine sat unlevel on the floor under the sink)? Unless the capacitor...

Indesit IDV65 drum struggling to turn.

Hi all. Following on from my washing machine fix (Beko carbon brushes) the Indesit IDV65 tumble dryer is struggling to turn (certainly on higher loads). I've actually just changed the heating element and thermostat as the old one was on the way out, but conscious that since I swapped this last...

Beko Washing Machine tripping electrics after changing brushes.

I think they probably did tbf...what probably happened is I tried to fit it one way and it didn't fit (hence that being noted as incorrect) then the other way slotted in...which turned out to be the incorrect way. Was fiddly tbf but entirely my fault.

Dell Latitude E6330 keyboard swap - not functioning.

Just checked the original order and it’s actually this description; “Dell Latitude E6330 E6430 Swedish Finnish Sverige Keyboard Win 8 Key /HF59 LW” I must have seen Dutch keyboards when originally looking. Spoke to the seller and they suggested it was likely the ribbon cable (they tend to go...

Dell Latitude E6330 keyboard swap - not functioning.

I've carried out a continuity check on each of the ten points on the ribbon (back and forth several times) and all check ok. Seems the cable itself ios ok (I've cleaned it too). Really odd...worth going down the Dell BIOS/drivers update? So maddening...

Dell Latitude E6330 keyboard swap - not functioning.

I don’t know re the fact it’s Dutch (unless a bit of s/w manipulation) but the fact the old keyboard doesn’t respond either is a bit odd. Not sure if I can actually sit the cable any better tbf but I’ll give it a continuity test. Presumably all have to continuity for it to work...?

Dell Latitude E6330 keyboard swap - not functioning.

Ha - yes...rebooted numerous times (as per post driver uninstall). Pretty sure it's a genuine keyboard (though Dutch version if I recall). Unfortunately on the original keyboard the onboard connector clip has come off (and it looks extremely fiddly to get back on - this is the closing flap...

Dell Latitude E6330 keyboard swap - not functioning.

Hi folks. My son's keyboard on his Dell E6330 Latitude became damaged over time. The keys were actually ok but the metal brackets underneath (on the board itself) had broken so there was no way of attaching the keys back on. With this in mind I purchased a replacement keyboard. Had to attach...

Beko Washing Machine tripping electrics after changing brushes.

Big apols folks.... Connected the washing machine up to the other mains via extension socket and straight away (as soon as it was turned on) it tripped. Everything should be cleaner in the motor than it ever was. Bit of head scratching and a mate across the road had a look with me (he's a gas...

Beko Washing Machine tripping electrics after changing brushes.

It was actually last week when we blasted with the air compressor so I’d expect any moisture to be dry by now. I’ll take the motor out again and clean the wires etc (there may be dust in the contacts that go onto the new brushes). Any cleaning product recommendations? Nail polish remover?! Also...

Beko Washing Machine tripping electrics after changing brushes.

the RCD. The kitchen is on a separate circuit to the rest of the downstairs. It’s evidently quite sensitive as a build up of toast crumbs trips it occasionally. I haven’t tried the machine on an extension lead to the rest of the mains btw thanks.

Beko Washing Machine tripping electrics after changing brushes.

Hi all, Our washing machine stopped running through the programmes recently. It would turn on, run through the entirety of the programme time but the drum cycle would not kick in. After a bit of research I figured it could be the carbon brushes which were low. After taking them out at least...
