What is the name commonly used for the concrete "stone" which sits on top of a pillar such as shown. I presume it's going to be something like top stone or cap stone? What do most builders refer to it as? Thanks.

Would anyone know of any horizontal radiators (excluding electric rads) which have a short projection from the wall of no more than 50 mm? I've searched quite a bit but haven't found anything. I know such rads have existed at some point as the rads where I work have a 50mm projection, though...

Unfortunately the feet wouldn't be suitable for this as would need the radiator to sit no more than 30cm above the floor. So the 30cm tall rad would have to sit on the floor, alternatively a rad which is 25cm or 20cm tall if it exists.

The 30cm high radiator below can be seen set at half way down the skirting board. Would there be any issues with having such a radiator sitting resting on the wooden floor so that, although attached to the wall, the wall isn't taking of the weight? Obviously it would look unusual but it would be...

If using 100mm slab under traditional floorboards, and retaining the floorboards, do you have to lift all the boards to get the slab in or can you lift one board every so often and push/pull the slab through?

I followed JohnD's suggestion earlier and all worked out well. Almost a bucket of liquid emptied out of the radiator and I was able to remove the rad.
