    Stained gas hob burner ring

Has anyone got the magic formula for cleaning off such stains? I've tried bleach ans also a mix of bicarbsoda/white vinegar. Left it to soak in a bowl for 24 hours has not dissolved the stain.

    Shower tray recommendation?

If the shower tray sides don't slope for water run off, lay some tiles on the edges to slope down from the outer edge to the shower tray. I have an over the bath shower and was getting a pool of water on the window sill so I created a slope with tiles so the water runs off into the bath and all...

    Control arm rear bush

I've noticed the rear bush in the o/s front arm on my Bora TDI has lost its bonding so the arm is sitting on the subframe, albeit no knocking noise. Is this an mot failure?

    Digital phone service

I have a combined vdsl modem/router but it has no phone socket so I'll wait for the ISP to send one out in time for the digital phone change over. I'm content to keep FTTC service.

    Tap re-seater tool thread type

When I say recently acquired, maybe about a year ago. I purchased it to clean the all the tap seats in my house. Also fitted new washers. The taps in question are in my aunt's house. Cleaned up tap seats and new washers will sort the job out and stop the slight drip caused by pitted seats.

    Tap re-seater tool thread type

I was going to use my recently acquired Rothenberger tap re-seater (3/8", 1/2" and 3/4") to clean the mixer tap seats in a 40 year old house but the tool would not screw in to the tap base. Do older taps use a different thread on the tap valve collars?

    '69 Tipo rattle

Who's making the best aftermarket suspension these days? I know Apec now supply suspension parts but that stream is coming from NAPA who now own Apec so likely, at a guess, supplied by KYB.

    '69 Tipo rattle

Belated feedback on this one. The culprit was the n/s sway bar link. The fault was not evident until driven some miles and the suspension warmed up. When I parked up and twisted the link, I could feel the 'snatch' in both ball joints. I replaced both sides with Moog brand from a local factor...

    Corsa recall for oil jet

My sister has told me her 01.2023 petrol 1.2 Corsa has a technical recall from Vauxhall concerning an 'oil jet cooling nozzle'. From what I've seen online, this is a tube that sprays oil up underneath the pistons. Am I correct?

    LCD display connection

Its a kitchen weigh scale, Salter brand. Was asked to look at it. It was switching on but not displaying any weigh values. When I took it apart, the LCD was loose. Can these LCD displays be easily bonded back on to the PCB?
