Have you a pressure reducing valve on its supply?.

I didn't see them on the Triton or other websites, obviously you can get (a box) of them after you remove the solenoid valve but this isn't very convenient if you are 50 miles or so from the "shops".

I'm not so sure about that, the schematic below shows a pressure reducing valve but not a expansion vessel, the 2.8M or 4.2M required for expansion might give the impression that no expansion vessel is required, also the statement below can lead to confusion, IMO.

Isn't a permanent live, switched by the above, still required at the pump, to drive it?.

Is or are the boiler and pump just starting and stopping together now?, if so, can't really see this causing a F83, it obviously needs to be wired correctly. its likely that the boiler logic will (when wired correctly) start the pump a few seconds before starting the boiler, the overrun time...

You have a common tundish for the ERV and the T&PRV, establish which one is discharging, also post the setting of each, its stamped on the ends.

That's the way I see it so its not wired like shown in post #24 where the 3 way valve is connected to SL in the boiler and PL is connected to the pump and this is what the Vaillant engineer is stating?.

If, after the boiler (burner) shuts down when either its switched off manually or is shutdown by the (last) room stat or cylinder stat and if the pump runs on for a few minutes and then stops, then the system is wired correctly and installing this other wire directly won't cure a F83 problem...
