    Sump plug very tight.....

I normally do my own oil change. Twist oil filter a bit and sump plug and you are good to go. I once fell for a bargain offer but it went wrong. My sump plug was stuck when I dropped off car at local garage. Don't want to name it but think or racing cars. Was a Sunday offer and sump plug...

    Repairing damage from a leak

It depends. On minor stains I don't use a stain block until I'm ready to emulsion. Sometimes nothing bleeds through any filling or skimming so I crack on. Sometimes I just skim it and stain block the entire wall. Problem can be the stain blocked area, especially if you use white can look...

Boarding over lath and plaster ceiling

Use 12.5mm board. Be fine. Won't fall. I've done loads and no problems If it was mine. After over boarding. id vacuum off the other side if I could get access and PVA. It binds it together.

Boarding over lath and plaster ceiling

Pulling down a ceiling is one hell of a mess which is why many overboard. So much dust! Probably need a skip as well. Sometime it's better to pull a ceiling down. Add more timber. Level ceiling if needed. Sort wiring and plumbing. Use insulated plasterboard if you want. Not so much weight being...

    1/2" Socket set

I've always used cheap sets and had no problems. Cheap spanners can fail though. if you are a professional then better quality is required as you don't want it to fail in the field when you get the breaker bar on it to crack it open with excessive force. If that's what you may do buy better...

    Cutting out/down on the Drink.

Sounds like a death ship! I'm not doing that ever. I refuse all you can eat buffets now. No control. Last one I was in severe pain from over eating. Fair play to those that can control themselves.

    Cutting out/down on the Drink.

Adrian Chiles 2018 BBC Two documentary, Drinkers Like Me. I remember him saying the first pint is amazing. Then every other one is not as good but you keep trying to get the feeling of the first. So true... It's just not the same as you get older. 2 is my limit now over 3 hours and I'm...

    Ceiling issue

That's the problem. Those patches you can't shift will bubble the moment you paint or skim. I used to chip surface back to good and seal and skim. That way the skim can grip something solid

Open rad valves If they are set to 3 then in this warm weather they are all off. Boiler can't cool itself by pumping water around rads when you use for hot water. Not my area but I know that happens. I've opened all the rad trv valves

They move tails along one on meter and start a cannabis factory or home food delivery. Then move out.. Then for years everyone is paying the neighbours electric.

Are you 100% sure the meter is yours as some flats have a meter room and mistakes happen mixing up who is connected to what..

    Ceiling issue

Some things to try. Duck tape and pull. Wallpaper scraper. Wood chisel. Glass scraper. When you get the hang of scraping it's not difficult. I say... Maybe some do have trouble.. It's a dark art. My mate ended up with a bad arm after a few minutes so go easy. Replace ceiling is other way

Filler in deep paint chips on window sill

I mostly use tx110. Very similar products. One dries faster although I use a hair dryer as that speeds things up. Often it will dry in a minute. So whatever. They all will work. You in a rush and don't have a hair dryer then use the quick dry

    Shed/aviary base

I just paid £40 plus £10 delivery for type 1. Large bag is 850kg I think. 20kg bags are £3 each so expensive if you want a few.. Loose tip gravel and sand can be cheaper sometimes and local firm can normally deliver same day. Large bags you might have to wait a few days. Sharp sand is about...

Fluid master flush valve removal problem.

I'd un build it in then. One of the most stupid inventions ever. .I could not put up with that having had to remove a section of bedroom wall and in one case remove part of a ground floor ceiling to gain access to this built in stuff. Jmo. Frustrated tradesmen. Still I charged them for it. Ha.

Fluid master flush valve removal problem.

Some quarter turn to replace. You can't do that. There is a big nut under the remove. That's what you need to turn. So you think cistern won't come off
