    electricity meter wiring

Several questions 1, has the tenant left thee premises? It does read as they have. 2, Or are they complaining the heating is no longer working? 3, has the wiring been left in a safe condition? A comment :- The person* who changed the meter didn't do a sensible job. It isn''t up to any...

    EPCs

Who is the standards setting body for that EPC - it's looks absolutely carp. The standards body should be on the EPC.

    EPCs

EPC in my opinion are good idea badly, very badly thought through! They only really work for 'square' boxes (houses) built post 1960's; for any house that could be an 'interesting' plan or somewhat older then the house becomes an expensive liability. What is worse the standard changes...

Tax ISAs (and what is 'significant wealth'?)

A week waiting time - really? I had to wait 38 weeks to be seen by a consultant in local hospital; neighbour has been told his waiting time to be seen is 44 weeks; B-I-L has had to wait 48 weeks only to be told his medication has to be changed before the hospital can carry out the tests so...

    United Ireland

I read a book in the 1970's by Brendan Behan, a noted Irish republican. In that rather Irish orientated book written in the 1950's he made comment that Ireland should be a full part of the British Isles rather than standing alone! Now how that worked with his republican and possibly religious...

The smart meter, it seems 10% don't work, well it may be more!

In the 50 odd years I've been paying energy charges I'm pretty certain in the 1990's or maybe the early 2000's there was a time when the standing charge was incorporated into the unit charge - I'm pretty certain it only last around 12 months as the users found it was more expensive in the long...

The smart meter, it seems 10% don't work, well it may be more!

There is NO choice if you don't want one or not - recently I had to have a meter changed 'cause the time switch failed. I ask to have the time switch changed instead I was forced to have a b****y smart meter which needs an exterior antenna with a long length of cable between meter and the...

Eaves Trays - Why do mine have to be different??

Really don't understand what you are aiming to do - a quick repair or a complete re-roof (new membrane and battens). If it's the latter then if you are not sure on what you are doing then, I know it's easy to say now, as you stripped back you should have taken photo's of what was there...

    Installing Japanese toilet seat

During the toilet paper wars of 2020 I installed a 'Shataff'. Initially the wife wasn't impressed but now she wouldn't be without one. It's all down to people's sensibilities and their life experiences.

How's your luck with Premium Bonds?

SFA, again - more often than not this year! On damm near enough £50K. Are TPTB saving my numbers up for a big win at indeterminate time in the future?

    Extremely loud bang near fusebox.

May I add, when was the last time your gas installation was serviced, inspected? Did they do a sustained (more than 30 min's) pressure test on the pipework?

    Boxer shorts have changed

Are sure? USA (Ladies) sizes is different to UK sizes - a UK 14 is a USA 10. Basically for USA size subtract 4 from the UK size.

id Buzz ? think they weigh something like 3 ton laden (~2.5 ton empty so only 500kg of payload). AFAIK it's not the range, it's the tyre wear.

Do check which providers their SIMs are for and then properly check the coverage where the Carecall units are located with phones using that service. Don't forget that '3' and 'Voda' are the same provider nowadays.
