    firebird heatpac

If the Alpha refers to a pump fitted to a Grundfos pump with the same model markings, then yes. What does your 'local shop' assistant say? Alternatively you can buy a complete pum and just swap the head. There probably would not be that much difference in price. When you fit the new on, be sure...

Is the boiler hot? If so, it could well be the pump.

    Heating but no DHW

Latching the valve will let water pass, but as far as the controls are concerned, the HW will not be on because the switch in the valve is not made. You will only get hot water whilst there is a heating demand.

Immersion hot water not lasting long enough!

If you turn on the boost dial does the hor water come on. It looks as though it gives you an hour, or part of an hour depending on how far you turn it, outside of the Economy 7 programmed times.

    Riello Pump ID

If you disregard the advice of an experienced engineer who did the donkey work for you, and wish to rely on the advice of a parts sales assistant without any experience, then that is your prerogative. People on here with the knowledge and experience are quite willing to offer advice, all in...

    Riello Pump ID

Evertbody on oil is using Bio fuels. It is the industry standard. 'cribbing' is moaning or arguing about a situation. As I said, you know where to get the proper O ring, it just seems you think you should be able to use a cheaper one.

    Riello Pump ID

Whilst it is 'only an O ring', for the cost of the manufacturer's part, why are you cribbing? It is essential that whatever you use needs to be resistant to bio fuels, which nitrile is not.

    Automatic Air Vents

As they are at the highest point, it will be worth keeping them as vents, , but I would replace them with manual vents. You may find that they have a tendency to allow air to enter at some times when the circuit is flowing and the seats will deteriorate causing more loss and requiring constant...

    Riello Pump ID

Which O ring do you want? If the one for the oil filter cover, I think you will find there is only one over the domestic ranges. Ifyou identify the burner (G series or RDB) then you will have no problem ordering .

Grant Vortex Boilerhouse 15-26 kW Boiler

Can you elaborate on why you are asking this question. The temperatures you are specifying are typical of the operating temperatures on many oil boilers. Does this range give you problems?

    Grant Vortex Condensing Combi 26 - (2006)

If you are getting flow but no hot water, is the primary pipework to the DHW ht Exch getting hot? If so, then the HtExch is suspect. If not, then your problem is with the control circuitry, so follow the comprehensive fault finding flow chart. Be sure to follow it in strict order, not bypassing...

Greenstar Heatslave 1 18/25 hot water issue

Identify the terminals from the flow switch and test each one to a neutral before switching on a tap. The one that is live is the feed to the switch. When you have identified that one, switch on the water and test the other terminal to neutral. If it doesn't show a feed, then the switch is...

    Stove - smell of fumes

There is a specialist sealing compound, FJC , available from most merchants. It never sets solid like fire cement, and is developed for the job. Also, I always like to have the male spigot pointing upwards into the female socket; with a clear flue, hot gases will never travel downwards, and it...
