Does a resin tray need to be embedded onto a wooden floor.

Hello I had a shower tray installed yesterday - it is stone rsin and was installed directly on to the wooden floor. It seems fairly stable but it has not been embedded in any way. The installers said that there was no need and that it will be fine. I am not so sure - what do people think?

    wiring bathroom extractor with timer

looking at it - the junction boxes are old and all of the earths have been twisted together on the outside - looks like I will have a job twisting a new one on - should I really bother? From the fan's instructions: "The fan is double insulated and does not require an earth connection."

Another one - wiring in a shaver light (bathroom)

Another one - wiring in a shaver light (bathroom)

I am basically planning on wiring a plug onto the end of the flex from the light - there is currently a shaver socket in the bacthroom and this is actually wired in to a plug that goes into a socket which is in the loft. This would be the easiest (albeit tacky way for me to do it). The light...

Another one - wiring in a shaver light (bathroom)

Just wanted some advice really - I need to wire in a shaver light into the bathroom - it only has a neutral and live and says it must not be earthed. What cable should I go out and buy - 2 core 1mm without earth perhaps? If I use a cable with earth what should I do - clip it off at the end...

    I want to use a 2 way switch as a 1 way - possible??

I have a brand new 2-way light pull switch knocking about and wanted to use it to replace a 1-way light pull switch. Its duties will remain as a 1 way switch with just L1 in use, does it matter that L2 will not be used or should I use a One way switch instead?
