    Replacing Worcester Boiler Advice

Out of those two choices, Worcester CDi Classic. But you really should be thinking of a stored hot water solution. But I guess that you only get what we pay for.

Potterton Netaheat MKIIF 16-22 not Firing - Obviously a contentious thread!

Maybe one of you kind gents could put together a 'kit' of used parts that could be be used to fix the boiler? And throw in a voucher for 10% off funerals. OP - I did not find AGAS's comments offensive in any way and you have done yourself no favours for the next time you ask for help. You...

Potterton Netaheat MKIIF 16-22 not Firing - Obviously a contentious thread!

Upgrade the controls, not the boiler. The 35% savings exist only on British Gas marketing materials. Great boiler but potential killer. Get a CO detector/alarm. Wishing you well with your business woes and hope you get through to the other side relatively unscathed.

Did he change his mind? Yes. Several times. But I am sure he will change it back again. Maybe he will skip the bunny just because it doesn't support openturd.

    grohe thermostatic mixer shower problem

So folks, if your shower is boolaxed just turn the knob to 4.5 and it will be repaired. Treat the symptom without addressing the cause.

Not much, AGAS. Someone harvested the choice goujons of knowledge from some of the forum regulars and then got the hump because the replies differed from what he wanted to hear. In future, anyone buying their own nest or hive controls without the fitting option can work it out for themselves...

    Painting pipes

Installers would never paint a pipe. We hate painted pipes as it makes subsequent alterations awkward. Decorators will apply paint with a brush. Normal paint, nothing special. Gloss or emulsion - it all appears to stick. Try the painting and decorating forum as they may know better.

How on earth have you got a quote within two hours of having Intergas suggested as an alternative? The Vaillant repair is still some 1500 cheaper than the intergas quote. Make sure you ask for a proper Vaillant/GroupService engineer if you go with Vaillant - because they sometimes send a...

British / Scottish Gas Engineers Please Read

Which make of boiler is that? If you have a BG contract then BG come out to fix it no matter what level of service has been done. In most cases, the BG annual visit is a safety check rather than a service. Most BG engineers are clued up about the weak points of different models and will...

    Boiler - acting strangely

You have an air bubble in the coil of the gravity circuit on the cylinder. I have seen this loads of times. Try draining and refilling again. There is a method to clear the bubble but it involves overriding the safety controls and I don't want to be held responsible if it goes wrong....

OP - sensible decision. You have saved yourself a lot of pain and expense. Look at Which? Trusted Trader site and go to the very last page to find the ones who don't pay for TT status but have been put on there because they have had excellent feedback from numerous members. Your plumber...

Eight years old and it is going in the skip. Yes, these modern boilers really are eco-friendly. F75 need not be the end of the boiler. It can be repaired and give another eight years of service. If your plumber can't fix it find someone who can. I don't care much for Vaillant but no way...

    Concealed cistern internals

Good work on the extraction. Head over to Lunns website and see if you can match. That inlet valve loks a bit like a siamp so you may find that a siamp diaphragm will fit...

    Concealed cistern internals

Without a picture or a maker's name nobody can help you. I have been to jobs where concealed cisterns bought over the internet have been entombed behind expensive tiles. Cheapo chinese cistern breaks after two years and then you find out why they are cheap - because there is no spare parts or...

Get a quote from BG and use this as the upper marker for cost. 3k is the starting point for a conversion. Getting a good engineer is far more important than the manufacturer of the boiler.

    F29 fault

Check that the gas isolator to the boiler is switched on. If you are selling the house then you may need to show that the gas appliances have been checked/serviced - so start looking for an rgi to come and check the boiler for you.
