Do I need to change the tyres

How long do your tyres last? If you are only likely to replace the tyres once while you own the car does it matter if you spend the money now or in a few months time?

Is it okay if i out the battery from my 3.0 v6 mercedes onto my ford mondeo 1.6 ? Both diesels

Is the battery fully charged? The Mondeo will shut down non-essential bits of the electrical system when the battery voltage is low.

    Garden soil/surface/loan improvement advice needed

That isn't really a lawn any more. You can't do much with it at the moment because it doesn't have enough water to survive. In the autumn I would scarify it and reseed it. When you mow it next year adjust your mower to it's highest setting rather than scalping the grass on the lowest setting...

    PPF Filter

For even more reassurance I have just discovered that my wife's 2019 car has a PPF and she mainly uses it for a local run to school twice a day (about 2.5 miles each way). The PPF has caused no trouble as we didn't even realise that it had one.:giggle:

    PPF Filter

I have a PPF (also known as a GPF) on a 2022 car. I think you will struggle to find a reasonably modern car which doesn't have one. They don't suffer as much with clogging problems as the diesel version (DPF) but they can clog with lots of idling and short trips. As you have an MHEV it probably...

    FRONT DOOR STEPS

Someone appears to have gone to some effort to create that hole mess. There must surely have been a reason to do that.

Engine oil change interval on Ford wet belt

Oil to the exact manufacturers specification is the key to this, not some random similar specification stuff found in a motor factors. I have had 4 Ford cars with these wet belt engines so far and haven't had any problems running the same belt for more than 70k miles. These vehicles have been...

    Shorten chain?

Pleased that you have found a solution. You did not give enough information on the type of chain to allow anyone on here to offer useful advice. The chain that you wanted to shorten could have been anything from the chain on a bath plug to the chain on a ships anchor.

I suppose that depends on the accuracy of your aim.

    Main Bonding

I couldn't have a plastic gas supply pipe in my garage due to the risk of it melting in a fire, but you appear to have a plastic gas meter. I have no idea what would prevent a plastic gas meter from melting in the event of a fire in the garage.

    Whatdo do about recordings?

We don't watch anything live. Have a look at the TV guide on a Saturday morning and record everything that we will want to watch that week. Then watch the recordings at a time to suit us. Always something to watch, don't miss any episodes, can skip all adverts.

    Front door types

The composite ones usually fade to an interesting dappled pattern in the sun, especially if they are red or blue. Composite is probably more secure than uPVC but the front door isn't the usual entry point for thieving toe rags unless you leave it unlocked. There are different qualities and...

I've used the Philips Hue external PIR with their hub and lights. It has been reliable but its at the expensive end of the market.
