Air in pipes - no logical explaination?

Did you properly flush out all the X400. I would say three refills and flushes of system is seen as "proper". At least that's what I did when cleaning glassware in a laboratory. Re scum, same thing happened to me too. My old lid to the FE tank was not ideal or tight fitting, I had wondered...

Why does a condensing boiler create a plume

I can't think of a method of thermal energy transfer which is > 99% efficient. Hopefully this young child will work it out for the next generation.

Hi Last night the RCD in the consumer unit tripped twice in 3 minutes. I remember this happening on separate occasions many years ago when a kettle died and a previous oven gave in. I wondered what might have caused it and if there's anything worth investigating / getting someone in to...

In the end I didn't earth the bracket, I used a single connector block on the prong. Thanks for your input, help and suggestions.

    Earthing a new light fitting

Thanks for replies. I have done as suggested and earthed the cable to the prong by a connector block (with hindsight make a lot more sense). All working fine.

    Earthing a new light fitting

Hi Is this light fitting earthed OK? The old light fitting was earthed using the same cable and method (i.e. chock to bracket). Out of the box the chock was screwed down to a small metal prong on the light fitting; this gives no maneuvering for connecting the cables and the final...
