Does the drain hose go into a stand pipe or a spigot under the sink? If it's a spigot under the sink, check that first, if clear then there's likely something in the pump stopping it turning. Only way to find out is remove pump and see.

Either PCB or dispenser at fault for the dispenser not opening. Hard to tell with the drying one. Does it heat during wash? Are the contents hot when the cycle finishes? Has the machine fully drained? Are you using tablets? Do you use salt? Do you use rinse aid? The questions are endless.

Count the flashes then come back and do a search for Whirlpool and the number of flashes. Most error codes have been covered previously.

11 year old dishwasher. The flashing light only indicates the machine has a fault. An engineer could interogate the electronics further to get a fault code. Sorry, not the best news.

Never put foodstuff in a dishwasher. I rinse our stuff before it goes in. Never had a problem with last 2 Whirlpool dishwashers.

Sounds like it's an inverter board model. If it is, magnetron will be faulty and may have taken out the inverter board with it.

really depends on the age of the machine. However, start it up, when the light flashes count the flashes between pauses. the number of flashes equals an error code.

No one knows the answer. There's not a lot of information to go on and there's no model number to look up the machine. Not taking in water could be anything from broken wiring to a faulty pcb.

As far as I remember the diverter valve is part of the heater box for this machine.

The safety stat, as identified, may be at fault. Or the element, or the circulation fan, or the cooling fan, or the thermostat, or even the timer itself. Impossible to tell over the internet. Cheapest item to try first would be the safety stat if the fault isn't obvious.
