to join 3 wires, you simply need a larger butt crimp.. for 2.5's, you need a yellow one.. you strip back the 3 ends long enough to just go through the metal part inside and along side each other.. then crimp.. not much different than crimping stranded wires

as long as it's plaster and not plaster board ( ie dot 'n' dab type walls ) then as said, not specific depth.. if it IS a plasterboarded wall then the box should be within the depth of the plasterboard, ie there can be no gap between the box and the board.. that way no wires can get pushed...

Just thought I'd drop in and update for those of you that care.. just got my 8 stone award tonight.. 112.5lbs lost so far.. It's slowed down a bit but that's not necesarily a bad thing, gives the skin chance to shrink back a bit so I won't end up looking as much like a popped balloon...
