    3 to 4 months on a charge, of you site them with access from a bedroom window it's no problem charging them up (saves getting a ladder out!). Really handy to have, I get a ping when someone is in the front garden etc and if it's at an odd time it's quick to check on your phone what's happening...

    You can buy post repair sleeves, chop post off half way down then use the sleeve to join a short post to the original (if you can't be bothered to replace the full post).

    Just reading the title I thought they'd be a pain!. It's a hard material so will take a fair bit off effort to deform them in rivet form. You may have to finish them off with a hammer and anvil if you get stuck?.
